A new innovation is Bumptop – an idea centered around a real life desk. It allows you to organise files and programs like you would on a desk, making piles, shelves, bumping files around, flicking through files like a pack of cards and so on. I’m not sure about the usefulness of it, but it does represent a change in the mentality of a computer desktop.

Most of us are used to our computer desktops being neat and ordered – but to make them like a messy desk?
